Hosts are needed for Denver Urban Homesteading’s 4th Annual Denver Chicken Coop Tour to be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 10-3pm.  Co-sponsored by Jennifer Loyd, our teacher of backyard chicken-keeping & urban homesteading and by Caroline Vierow, of Chicken Lovers United Community of Stapleton (CLUCS).

This is a chance to be proud of your chicken coop, your chickens and your garden and help other people to join the chicken and urban homesteading community.  Help people who share the same ideas about natural living to network and be connected.  We are all about sharing, helping others and learning.

In the evening after the tour, the hosts are invited to an urban farm-to-table dinner at the urban homestead of James and Irina Bertini, owners of Denver Urban Homesteading, and we will be glad to give them some of our organically-grown raspberry or strawberry plants from our garden.  Also, hosts could have their coops featured in our annual Denver Chicken Coop Calendar.

Denver Urban Homesteading is Denver’s first and only year-round, indoor local farmers’ market, school for urban homesteading and beekeeping store.  We operate without any grants or subsidies and we need and really appreciate community support.
