About the Gypsy Farm Bus...
Sometimes a bus longs to be something more…The Gypsy Farm Bus needs your help! We're converting an old school bus into a roving farmers market selling seedlings, locally sourced produce and handmade goods. First order of business? Out with the seats! So bring a socket, gloves, protective eyewear and a little elbow grease, and share your ideas with us. [The seats will be offered on Freecycle & Craigslist, crop mobbers get first dibs, if you want them send a note to email@example.com] And, if you are an urban farmer interested in selling your produce on the Gypsy Farm Bus, please sign up for our mailing list at the event or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
About Ekar Farm...
Ekar Farm is in need of Crop Mobbers to help tend our 2 acre farm. We have vegetable plants in need of care and preparation for our upcoming season. We would love some help with trellising, weeding, and orchard care. Ekar Farm and Community Gardens is a communal urban farm, inspired by Jewish values. We work to build community, provide experiential and environmental education, and grow sustainably produced fruits and vegetables, expanding access to those in need. In 2010, we engaged 1200 participants in growing 8,000 pounds of organic veggies and donated 7,000 pounds to the Jewish Family Service Weinburg Food Pantry.   Vegan lunch and beverages provided
