I was reading an article in the Denver Post on very rich people using agricultural tax breaks even though their land was not truly being used for agricultural purposes. (E.g. two large estate houses, 2 long horn steer, and a pumpkin patch on 19 acres). It would be both poetic and amusing if ordinary people were able to use this tax break for backyard agricultural production. Apparently there is no minimum limit on amount of land being in production and also no requirement for profitability. Does anyone have any insight into the feasability of this?
