    Found a solution to my problem with limiting the exposed view filters.

    Added a contextual filter using code to pull out just the locals for a given user.

    global $user;
    $user_data = user_load($user->uid);
    $view_locals = array();
    foreach ($user_data->field_local['und'] as $user_local) {
    $view_locals[] = $user_local['tid'];
    } return implode("+",$view_locals);

    Then used a sandbox project called Views Selective Filter to restrict the exposed filter list.

    Works perfect, even with Better Exposed Filters! (Well almost perfect, except now I need to see if I can sort the checkboxes by taxonomy weight. Hmm...)

    Josh, thanks for the presentation on Grunt. It was in the middle of the night when it occurred to me how it could be useful to me. I also benefited from the info on Beehat and Open Atrium. Thanks folks!

    I can talk about Grunt.js if that's what people want. I can go ahead and make a github project with the info needed for setup if people want to get it setup before the meeting.

    I also looked up grunt vs gulp and I can give some information on why they're different and some pros & cons of each.

      Hey Josh. Yes, a talk on Grunt.js and an overview of Grunt vs Gulp would be awesome!

    Not sure if people want a Grunt.js tutorial, but I made a git repo with just a readme and 2 files. https://github.com/fabean/gruntjs

    All you NEED to do is setup your computer to have grunt.js and node.js and I'd walk everyone through the rest.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
