Monthly Meeting

We moved this to the 16th and it will definitely be our 2nd annual "Aint Nobody Got Time To Get Anything Formal Together" social event. We'll need to pick a location but we're planning on sticking to the Crossroads or Midtown areas. We'll work out the specific location but here are a couple I thought of off the top of my head:

Grinders

PizzaBella

I am by no means an expert on eatin' joints in KC so please chime in with your favorite places.

Hope to see everyone there!

I have been using MySQL out of habit and managing it with phpmyadmin out of laziness. What are you using? Lets run a poll to find the best RDB to use with Drupal.

I would guess MySQL and MariaDB are the 2 most common. Postgresql also plays nice, although I haven't used it.

I would like to discuss the possibility of using MySQL as the database with Drupal CMS. Anybody with this type of experience?

I'd like to make this if I can, but I'll need to play it by ear. If you're still looking for restaurant suggestions, Lulus is also in that area. http://www.lulusnoodles.com but I'm down with any other suggestions as well.

I love Lulu's, and it's right next to my office. :-). Good suggestion!

any date or location should be pretty much fine with me. I also have a copy of Drupal Development Tricks for Designers (http://www.amazon.com/Drupal-Development-Tricks-Designers-Nordin/dp/1449305539/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1417045333&sr=8-4&keywords=drupal+for+designers) to give away. It was donated by Auriga Distribution Group through Amazon for our group. Not sure if you want to do a raffle or something for it or first person to ask for it or whatever. Or keep it as part of the group library? thoughts?

I'm not sure we have a library (unless you count Scott :-) ) but definitely bring it. At the very least we can have a nice door prize!

The date works, but I haven't frequented anyplace in that area for years. So I have no preference on location.

I'd like to move this to the 16th if that would work for most and we need to pick a spot. I'm thinking somewhere in the crossroads or midtown area like Martina suggested. If you have a favorite spot holler otherwise I'll just pick somewhere. Holla if you have a date preference or location, I'd like to get things figured out in the next day or two.

I am open to either date.

Hi all. I'll still thinking this could be a social event, although we can still "talk shop". :-) Anybody have a favorite eatin' joint or a general location?

    November 8, 2014

    • martina

      I vote midtown or crossroads!

Ugh. I may have a schedule conflict.

    November 6, 2014

    • Karl K.

That's a bummer. We could move it to the 16th, we just need to figure out what day most folks could go.

      November 8, 2014

    • Scott W.

The 16th would work fine for me. Any thoughts on the date or location from anyone else??
