Come down and join us (Linda,Parker,Eric, et al) Camping and The Beach From Thursday to Sunday (take off from work!..you can do it!) or just the Weekend!
September Thurs 9/16 Thru Sun 9/19
http://www.abcapemay....

Rent a campsite or a cabin. Carpool, Share a site and split the fees! Do it on the cheap! Fares are reduced after Labor day.

Ladies..... this is not wilderness camping(unless you want it to be) Clean Bathrooms and Showers.(bring quarters) Shopping and the beach is just minutes away!

I will be bringing the kitchen.. bring your food ….definitely bring your beverages..or get it at the supermarket 5 mins away. Just pitch in to cleanup.

Sat Night, if there enough interest, well have a clambake and community campfire ..bring your lawn chairs. To add extra zest, Bring your Hawaiian Shirt or Sarong!
Parents..This is a very Family Friendly Campground..no cliffs to fall from
Spend time on the beach, walk the boardwalk, bring your bike, take hike, visit the zoo or the painted ladies.

GoogMap here http://maps.google.co...

See website http://www.abcapemay.... for campground details, policies and amenities. Their policy includes no outside firewood..so you know they are going to charge too much for too litle firewood. We might want to think about consolidating our campfires to one site to save $$$

From the campground website...
… the miles of beach with swimming, fishing and surfing, is what has made Cape May and the surrounding area famous. .. Located just 15 minutes north of Cape May Point, we are the closest campground to the beautiful Stone Harbor and North Wildwood beaches. With wooded campsites, cable TV, a Laundromat, pull thru sites and a secluded primitive tenting area, we have the atmosphere and amenities to make your stay an enjoyable one. ....Adventure Bound Camping Resort at Cape May accommodates virtually any type of camping unit, including tents, travel trailers with slides and large motor homes. Don't have a tent.... Try our cozy rustic camping cabins with available air conditioning, refrigerators and charcoal cooking grills.
Take the Atlantic City Expressway East to Exit 7s. (Garden State Parkway). Go South on GSP to Exit 9, Mayville/Shell Bay Avenue. Go west 1 mile and look for the lighthouse, we are on the right!
Of course there are alternative routes.

“ What more can be said at this point. As always Eric is a wonderful host, cook and friend. The groups offer many new faces to share experiences with and to become friends with. Great food, potent jello shots, games, music, great weather all packed into one exciting weekend. Thanks goes not only to Eric and Mark but also to the MANY people who help clean up, set up, cook food, and who also look for outside entertainment. ”

There seemed to have been interest in the dolphine/whale watching cruise. I have posted this as an event on both Meet & Mingle and also The Greater Lehigh Valley Outdoors group. Please sign up on the the event's posting if you care to join. I need to have at least 25 people for the group price of $20.00pp. The cruise is scheduled for Friday Sept. 17th at 5:00pm. Please RSVP on only one meetup roster so I can keep better count of the RSVPs. Thanks

Looking to gauge interest for a "watch the sunrise" walk on the beach/boardwalk on Friday morning. No need to commit now, just trying to see if anyone would be interested. Just e-mail me separately. Please do not reply on this comment section-better to save that for more important info. Thanks.

Robin - one more comment....check out the other meetup groups going...I see lots of girls looking for a cabin mate or two. I'm sure somebody would be willing to split the cost with you for a cabin.

We just returned from 5 days at this campground and I have a new map showing the layout of the sites. I need to scan it and then somehow get it on here so you can all see it. We reserved R4. Also, they made some improvements....NO more quarters for the showers and they now have a Wi-Fi Lounge.

Some of you have been asking which tent sites we reserve so we can be sure to be near each other when making our reservations. I can't find the camp's roadmap on their website, but we usually reserve the tent sites towards the back of the campgrounds that have running water and electricity - We usually reserve Site R4; so ask the campground for sites near R4.

No; not this year. Bike Week is early September. We are breaking tradition and moving this event out a few weeks so we could hopefully avoid the bad weather we experienced the last two years. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will hold out and be beautiful for us crazy campers!

  • Mark P.

We weathered a terrible storm the first night but the rest of the weekend was fine. I can bring the karaoke entertainment again. Hey Eric, is it bike week again ???
