hike the Pinnacle Spur Trail/Pocahantas Spring/AT loop

This is a wonderful loop hike from the Hamburg Reservoir without visiting the Pulpit or Pinnacle - an absolutely new and novel idea. The hike is @ 9 miles with at least 2 long steep climbs, rocky footing and no CROWDS! We will be moving at +2.5 mph with short breaks as needed. Homebrew at our home afterward. Weather is not an issue. This hike is for fit beginners and experienced hikers.

This hike starts at the same place as most of the Pinnacle hikes start. My wife and I have pony tails - mine is blond and my wife's is black. We will both most probably be in Mountain Hardwear hiking kilts. My phone # is[masked]

    where the hike will start?

    April 15, 2014

    • Tom

The same place as the Pinnacle hikes at the Hamburg Reservoir. We will be headed up the mountain on a trail that is to the left of the reservoir, then turning left for a counterclockwise loop.
