Welcome to the DBSA, "DEPRESSION BIPOLAR SUPPORT ALLIANCE" serving Greater New Haven and Westport. Share in discussions and experience support in a safe and non judgmental setting with others who are dealing as well as coping with depression and bipolar disorder . There is much evidence that support groups can be beneficial and therapeutic for those of us with these illnesses. A support group atmosphere can empower us through sharing, listening, and learning about personal experiences and how each one of us strives to manage our illness. 

I have been facilitating DBSA Support groups for almost  9 years. I have just recently completed my DBSA certification as an advanced facilitator and Peer Specialist. For more information regarding DBSA Support groups and the DBSA organization, check out :

The Greater New Haven group meets in BRANFORD every Monday and Tuesday evening from 6-8 at BHCare (formerly Harbor Health Services). 14 Sycamore Way, Branford(203) 483-2630. The Tuesday group is predominately a young adult group.

The WESTPORT group meets at the St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Behavioral Health Service, Westport Campus,( formerly Hall-Brooke) 47 Long Lots Rd, Westport (203) 227-1251) every THURSDAY evening from 6-8 PM.

From CT Turnpike - I-95
Off I-95, take Exit 18 (Sherwood Island) -- If coming from the North (going southbound), go right off exit ramp -- If coming from the South (e.g. New York), turn left at stop sign off exit ramp; Go – 1 mile toward Westport and U.S. 1 (the third traffic light); Turn left on to U.S. 1; Make immediate hairpin turn to the right (after passing Bertucci's Restaurant) on to Long Lots Road; Proceed on Long Lots Road for one-half mile; Look for the St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Services, Westport Campus sign on your left. Proceed along driveway – you will see a parking area to your left. Proceed to the “Main Entrance.”
