am an avid sailor living in the most sailing unfriendly island in the world - Manhattan. Looking to meet fellow passionate sailors to share sailing tales - good and bad.
From a friend.
USCG 100 Ton Master Captain with Sailing Extension
Only racing i have done is long distance off-shore - Newport-Bermuda, Block, Carib 1500, etc. I am interested in doing some buoy racing though.
Always looking for people to come out sailing. I am usually the only person on the boat that knows anything about sailing. I even color coded all my sheets to make it easier for them.
I have an O'Day 272 that I have kept at Pier 40 during the season and have over 10,000 off-shore miles in the last 6 years.
Welcome Andrew! I look forward to meeting you in person in our first meetup tomorrow @ 6:30 PM! In order to make this meetup as interesting as possible to all its members, please let me know if you have any specific interests in the sailing world (stories you want to hear, people you wish to meet, experiences you wish to have etc.). Thanks! Nitzan - Sailors NYC
Hi Andrew! It was so nice to meet you at the meet up on April 11. Just wanted to touch base, and say that I would love to crew for you any time this summer if possible. I live in the East Village, not far from Pier 40. So please keep in touch and let me know when you will be sailing. I know you will be away in May, so I will keep in touch also. Take care, Regine
