Not to be a Debby-downer, but while the speaker had an interesting point of view, I was expecting (& hoping for) more information & less opinion (& much less personal politics). It was my first Mensa event & I am going to try again, but I was not impressed.

I skipped the dinner because after the Nazi comments I was done. Comparing our government to the Nazi government really minimizes the horrors of the Nazi state. I just don't understand why people go there.

Well, I can only twist & contort the facts into an irrational opinion if I know them. :P

Fascinating ! I am open to legalizing drugs. At least try it and learn from it, like we learned from prohibition. Afterward we talked about all the things we didn't know that was brought up by guest lecturer. It was my first Mensa forum and I am so glad I attended. I am interested in legal issues. Hey, only 5 people went to China Gate, where were you all?

Sorry I missed. It's a little harder for me since I live in Flagstaff... I'm hoping to get down there next month though to meet some people.

We really enjoyed the speaker and his fresh ways of looking at issues, challenging the standard solutions. He really stretched our thinking. Good to see everyone. We didn't make it to the restaurant afterward because we had early commitments this morning.

Hmmm, possibly. I love this topic. I'll have to check around for place to stay and all that jazz. :)
