This group is for people who want to make a difference in the lives of exploited animals by striking at the root of the problem, which is the pervasive view of non-human animals as being inferior. We will be doing a lot of vegan outreach, and working with other AR campaigns in the area to educate the public.
Meetups (unless otherwise noted) will consist of leafleting in various places in the city, including colleges and large-scale events. Then, at an agreed upon time, we will convene at a local vegan-friendly restaurant for discussion and strategizing.

Every Thursday at 7PM, the Co-op at the University of Maryland hosts free vegan cooking classes, then they serve a big Food Not Bombs style meal for everyone. Come and get a quick lesson on how to cook tasty vegan food, then try some for yourself. After eating, there's a comfortable lounge area right outside the Co-op where we can discuss animal rights and activism. Read more
