The Sierra Club was founded in 1892 by conservationist John Muir. Since then, the Sierra Club has been working to protect communities, wild places, and the planet itself. The Sierra Club is headquartered in San Francisco and is the largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States, with over half a million members. Our official motto is "explore, enjoy and protect the planet." We hope that you will join us in our endeavors to do just that!
If you are interested in: day hikes/overnight camping trips/backpacking trips/canoe trips/trails projects/conservation, education and activism, then you've come to the right place. We have group outings both locally and in other areas of Texas and the U.S.
We meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., at the Azalea Room of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden for our regular meetings. We have a speaker at each meeting, and also talk about local environmental issues and upcoming outings and events.
