Performance at the NW Humanist Conference

This is our first performance - a great opportunity to show off our hard work so far, gain confidence, and invite some new members. It would be great to have as many people there as possible - if you can confirm as soon as possible your attendance either via the meet up or email ([masked]) that would be superb!

Everyone aim to arrive between 1.15pm and 1.30pm. This will give us a chance to warm up our voices, top and tail our pieces and generally psych ourselves up! I'll try and arrange a 'green room' for us to sing in before hand. We will sing at 2.15pm for 15 minutes.

Dress code - unsure at the moment but we're thinking smart-casual, dark colours with a matching flash of colour in an accessory (e.g. tie, neck scarf, belt, socks, hair accessory). Suggestions welcome.

I'll add more details as I get stuff sorted.

Yes, I really enjoyed it. Several people told me this afternoon how much they'd enjoyed it and I was asked when our next performance was going to be! Thanks everyone and especially Karl.

Despite being anxious before the performance and making a few errors during it, I feel exhilarated and will be a total pain for the rest of the day as I display my feathers like a peacock. No doubt my wife will let me know when I've overdone it.Oh! Apparently that moment has been passed already.
Congrats to all and especially to Karl.Great stuff

Hello, I'm getting the train into Piccadilly. Maybe those of us who don't know where it is could meet at 12.30?

I'll meet you by Piccadilly Gardens if that's easier :)

I feel like I'm going to sit Paco's exam for him, I'm that nervous! My cold isn't helping, I still sound like Dani Behr :(

Don't worry, keep calm! Take a hot beverage and sleep well... and tomorrow breathe deeply and just enjoy with all the people, and drink water too. :-)

Er, we humanists don't believe in spirits :-) But I know what you mean! Sorry you can't make it.

I'd really like to stay in the performance and I think I will. However, I'll have a FCE exam this day, I don't know the time and place yet but usually it's at 9am and takes about 4 hours, so maybe I cannot be for the warm up. I hope I can be there anyway.

Hi Paco. Hope you can make it, but never mind if not.

I finish the writing exam about 14:00 and the speaking is at 15:30. So, finally I'm not going because it's very hasty. I can't stay everywhere. I'm sure you are doing very well but, above all, enjoy it!

Just wanted to say good luck to everyone for the performance - I'm sure you'll be great. I am having to leave the choir as I can't fit the rehearsals in around my other commitments but wish you all well.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
