A new book study group is forming is Portsmouth!  Peter Bane's Permaculture Handbook: Garden Farming for Town and Country has been chosen to read.  Other details, such as how often to meet and how many chapters we'll take on each time will be decided by the group at our first meeting.

Please come on March 24th having read the Foreward and Chapters 1 & 2... all are short, just bringing us to page 20.  It is great starting material for our first get-together.

For each session we plan to pick chapters to read and someone to take the lead on the discussion facilitation. The facilitator can simply have a few questions to ask and help the conversation move along, making sure everyone gets a chance to share. These are not formal classes but conversations shaped by the participants to help us get the most out of the material.

We won't have a potluck, but will encourage bringing snacks to share. We will have the donation basket for meetup costs out... we'll suggest $1-5 per meeting.

Hi all - I'm nursing a cold and don't want to share germs. I've read the first four chapters and was looking forward to the discussion this evening. See you next time!

Hi Sara, Don't worry about missing the first group. It will be easy to join us at the second meeting if you want. Hope all is well.

Central NH Permaculture Meetup is in the middle of a book study of Peter Bane's Permaculture Handbook....
For me, this book - and resulting discussions - are pulling together so many permaculture principles and ideas and offering real solutions for the future...
    I highly recommend it! Enjoy!
