Harvest Feast: Sharing Our Season Highlights & Bounty Potluck and Discussion

  • November 11, 2012 · 5:00 PM
  • Amy & Steve's Homestead

Please join us for a potluck and discussion about what new things we tried in our gardens, homes and/or lives this year that were permaculturally inspired!  This would also be a great time to ask for advice and opinions on continuing the projects and otherwise inspire each other.

This will be an informal evening with food and friends, a chance to build our community as well as learn from each other.  After we all have a chance to share a meal, we'll spend some time discussing what we've done this year.

In our society, some of the sustainable living work that we are passionate about is not always highly valued and reinforced.  So, let's come together to celebrate it ourselves!

There are so many interesting people in this group, and often our meetups are pretty focused on what we are working on - this will be a good opportunity to connect a little less formally, learn about each other and network.

Please bring an item to share...and if you've grown it / picked it / preserved it / gotten it locally, all the better!

Free, though the basket will be out for donations to our group fund!

I might not make it so I change my RSVP to no. If I get home in time I will stop by to say hi.

(LOL) As you should, Amy, for they are the sweetest tasting beets I've ever grown; I swear that they could qualify as a dessert. I will grow them again next year and bring them to a meet up.

I would so love to attend and meet everyone but I have a family commitment. Had I been able to attend, I would have brought a beet salad made of white and red varigated beets that I harvested yesterday (grown organically too). Enjoy!

This will be on the informal side - you are welcome to bring your baby!

Hey all! We would love to join however am not sure we'd be able to swing a babysitter. Is this a baby friendly event? No worries if not. Maybe we'll make the next one!
