Yiasou, friends. Austin may not be overloaded with Greeks and Cypriots, but it feels like there are a whole lot less when you don't know any of them. Visiting Greece, hearing Greek, eating Greek or Cypriot food invokes memories and feelings of being at home.

Well, the Greek and Cypriot Social Club of Austin is about "community" - making friends and enjoying our heritage.

Sometimes we'll speak Greek, sometimes watch movies or go see plays relating to Greek and/or Cypriot heritage, sometimes gather for potlucks (Greek and Cypriot foods, naturally), and sometimes something entirely different.

And, we will be a community. Enter as friend right from the start, and, well, you know how it *can be* with Greeks --- like long lost family you haven't seen in ages, but the minute you do... You know. It's like family.
