Green Drinks Victoria - February 2014

Spinnakers is ideal for Green Drinks.. and is now our new home.  We can mingle and mix  by the tables..  or sit down for a longer conversation over a meal.  Thanks to Paul Hadfield, owner and Lindsday  McQueen, manager for helping making this happen.

So, toxo question and answer. The toxoplasmosis parasite is in 30% to 50% of humans. It reproduces asexually in mammals and can pass down from mother to daughter. It has a sexual stage that only happens in cats. So, it tweaks our brains. Tweak number 1. It makes us like cats! Tweak number 2. It makes infected women want to stay at home (stepford type thing) and Tweak number 3 it makes men adventurous and a little stupid. (So men with toxo would "hopefully" get eaten by a tiger, lion, cougar, leopard (or a smaller cat that is not adverse to carrion). These tweaks have been tested by the way. For instance, men with toxo take more risks than men without. As drivers they get in way more accidents. Food for thought, eh? Or food for cats?

Hi Brian, it was a pleasure meeting and speaking with you yesterday. You might recall me mentioning that I had recently read something surprising about Toxoplasmosis. Here is an excerpt, "The real danger, though, is for people who are susceptible to mental illness, or those whose immune system has been compromised. Toxo could bring on schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, attention deficit disorder and possibly other disorders, changing their lives forever. When [Jaroslav] Flegr's colleagues in psychiatry at Charles University ordered MRI scans of their schizophrenic patients, they found reduced gray matter in the brain. The shrinkage happened in patients who tested positive for Toxo. The parasite reportedly had done the damage."

Thanks, Nicholas. Thanks J.C. I have never seen anything about Toxo on the Lyme, MS or CCSVI or balloon angioplasty forums. That is a surprising, because they come allwith a range of mental effects. "MS" isn't a real disease in the opinion of many suffers. It is just a list of symptoms that may be caused by several different unrelated illnesses or perhaps synergies of several diseases. Grouping it together as "one" and searching for "the cause" and "the cure" likely means they are missing 4 different causes for 4 different illnesses! Balloon angioplasty helped my wife and it is a great help to 1/3 of MS suffers. Another 1/3 of them are NOT helped by angioplasty. Any half decent scientist or doctor would be doing targeted follow up to find out why!

Oh, boy! Was a eye opener. You miss a few meetings and get behind on things. Was great to see some familiar faces and of course some new ones. Chris was the same stand out personality that he is. I was sure his hair was darker at the last meetup I was at but mine is catching the same wisdom, I hope. Wow, I met more great people, and had to make some minor tweaks as progress and reality showed me some more light towards a cleaner, greener way of thinking. (TY, Rudy, Liza, Brian, Ya, you too Chris and everyone I had a chance to cross paths with.) I came to talk but gladly listened.... Steve

I wish I could make it, but I'll have to postpone until next month. I have an event at my kids school tomorrow evening.

Hmnnn, I'm starting over building more contacts but in different area's. At 6PM Tomorrow at the VIP room at the Tally Hoe I will be hosting a get together for people that offer all home services for home owners, and how we can work together to promote each other. I'm planning on bringing that experience to the meetup, so if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. My website explains the kind of services I promote but will be adding more in time. Topics bulk post mail, lawn signs, word of mouth, buses and more...
