We are excited to announce our next Green Drinks speaker... Josephine M. Balzac.
What are we eating? The general public lacks knowledge of what we are actually eating. Whether it is a GMO, a food additive, or a chemical, we are not being made fully aware of what we are putting into our bodies. Not to mention there are an abundance of misleading labels and claims that are used to market these unhealthy and unsafe food products. We as consumers have a right to know the ingredients, nutritional values, and processes used to make our food supply. Josephine M. Balzac, Esq., LL.M., will discuss the lack of transparency and show how we can help make an impact.
Josie is a licensed attorney for the State of Florida and currently works for a food safety regulatory consulting group as an attorney and uses her skills to assist the company with a general understanding of the legal issues and regulatory frameworks related to human and animal food and feed, dietary supplements, labels, and claims.
