Enjoy a delicious, home-made brunch inspired by you and your fellow food-enthusiasts. The only requirement is that you must use at least one fair trade ingredient in your dish. Alongside the potluck, Local coffee roaster, Coffee Roasters Alliance, is hosting a coffee tasting that will pair wonderfully with the Brunch.
Fair Trade Day explores one of the fundamental principles of Slow Food and that is that our food must be fair. With commodities such as coffee, spices and teas that are not found in Florida, it is very important to choose products that are fairly traded, where workers are not exploited and are fairly compensated.
The event will be situated right in the middle of a roasting facility where you will learn how the coffee is picked, packed, roasted and brewed and more importantly how it tastes!
Please bring questions about coffee and fair trade because we will have several industry experts to answer them.
WHEN: Saturday May 14th, Fair Trade Day
WHERE: Coffee Roasters Alliance, 863 N Us
Highway 17 92, Longwood, FL
WHO: Joey Chase, a 20 year veteran of the coffee world, will host a coffee tasting alongside the brunch. Several fair trade coffee he carries will be tasted.
