Green Energy Council - Atlanta Chapter 4.50 4.502

In August 2009, the Green Energy Council offered its first courses in Atlanta. Attendees were both eager to learn more and very motivated to help this organization take root in Atlanta. As a result, the GEC Atlanta Ambassadors For Change was formed and has organized the next GEC Green Job Corps live training courses in Atlanta on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Holiday Inn Downtown Atlanta (across from Centennial Park), 101 Andrew Young Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30303. The following courses will be offered to the public with a 20% discount if taken together:

Green & Sustainability 101: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m $79.95
Green and Sustainability 101 is the first course offered by the Green Jobs Corps program. This class educates the student about the basic terms and practices of what it means to be “green” or “sustainable.” America’s future green jobs will be in many different sectors. This course will educate you for a future in the Green Tech Community or help you understand how you can evolve your business to begin offering sustainable services.

Energy Assessment: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. $99.95
This certification course will provide specific training for becoming an Energy Auditor and foundational knowledge that can be applied to a variety of jobs in the Green Tech field. The training will include a systematic approach to performing a qualitative energy assessment for homes and small businesses. The course spans fundamental areas such as appliance and electrical efficiency; structural building analysis; lighting, heating and cooling systems; water usage and heating efficiency; solar and voltaic applications; and federal tax credits and utility and government rebates.

Both Courses Taken Together at 20% discount: $144.00
