Irish2000 Fest - Ballston Spa, NY

Betty and I do this every year and as there are no other meetups planed for this date, I wanted to throw it out to my Miata club friends. Irish2000 Fest is "the larges Irish festival on the planet" with three live music stages going all day long with Traditional to contemporary music. Lots of vendors of celtic goods and yummy food and lots of irish brew, should you lean in that direction. We could meet up early Saturday morning at the New York side of the Champlain Bridge (or other location depending on responses). Then head south to beautiful Ballston Spa, some highway driving may be required. Advanced tickets to the fairgrounds are $18 and can be purchased at any Price Chopper Supermarket. $25 at the gate. I don't mind picking tickets up for anyone that will be going to save money. Parking has always been $3. Stay the entire day or leave when you like, it is totally up to you. This is a rain or shine event. Check out the website for more information: http://irish2000fest.com/. Would love to see you there.

Always a good time. As there were so few of us, we stayed the night and headed north on Sunday. Weather was cool, but dry, top down on the way home.

Still time to get discount tickets at your local Price Chopper Supermarket. On sale until midnight, Sept. 12th. for anyone interested in going. If you are still going, let me know and we can set up a meeting place for Sat. morning. I like to get to the field before 11 Am. That is when the crowds start coming in big time. We will be leaving Mooers around 7 am. That would be hitting the Champlain Bridge area around 830 / 9. Ballston Spa is not too far from there, so that should give plenty of time. Let me know.

Yes, that would be early from your location. Time is not set in stone. That would be more like the time I have to leave Moores. Just want to get to the fest before it gets crowded. Usually 10 or 10:30

Early for me, but a definite "maybe" since it's just down the road from home.
