Our route will take us down the whole length of beautiful Spear Street to Mt Philo Rd west to Rte 7, south to rte 22A in Vergennes. At Addison we follow Rte 17 to the Bridge near Crown Point. Optional dinner will be enjoyed at the Bridge Restaurant (For a while known as the "no bridge" restaurant. Dinner can precede or follow a brief foray across to the NY side of the bridge. (any brief sightseeing ideas for the other side?...let us know)

The Crown Point Bridge, also known as the Champlain Bridge, was dedicated in 1929 by then-NY Governor Franklin Roosevelt, demolished in 2009, reopen brand new in 2011 by Governor Shumlin and NY dignitaries.

What a fantastic day it was for a Miata run. The weather couldn’t have been better. A little less twists and turns than usual, but I thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely drive. Many thanks to our host Al.... and co-host Bill for organizing the trip.

Sorry if I've confused the gruop - we extended the route to take 22a south to Shoreham - then rte 74 to the Ticonderoga Ferry-thence up the NY side to the Champlain Bridge.
When we first enter NY three or four miatas with the Adirondack Miata Club will join our merry band.

I'm confused.... Are we going over a bridge or on a ferry?

Hi guys. I'm a member of this group and I'm also the organizer of the Adirondack Miata Owners Club. I've got 4 cars (so far) that want to take a drive Sunday and meet you at the bridge. Tom suggested a loop through Moriah Center that sounds good. Our thought is to meet at the bridge and join you for the loop, but we need to know your ETA to the bridge. Al- you've blocked e-mail from members so I cannot reach you. I sent a message to Ken, but no response. Is it ok to join up with you? We certainly don't want to be interlopers. I just need to know what to tell my members. I can be e-mailed through the meetup system or mark@adkrealdotcom (you can figure out the e-mail!). I have no phone numbers so I don't know how else to contact the organizer. Maybe one of you can open communications for me. thanks. Zoomzoom

I know a little road that is about 11 miles long that is absolutely the BEST Miata road I know of! It's about 15 minutes from the NY side of the bridge. I would be happy to do it, turn around and do it again and back to the bridge. The road has half a dozen names but the locals call it Ensign Pond Road, out of MoriahCent, NY.

I like this idea, any of you guys have CB Radios?

How about FRS handhelds? No junk to crap up the inside of the car. Otherwise, we'll just plan a meeting time and place. It should be easy enough for the organizers to coordinate.

Thanks Ken - I tried to figure out how I could add an attendee but failed.
Also thought I was ranking about guest - guess not.
