The Healing Art of Herbalism, Class 4, Lakewood

This series will run from February 1st through April 19th, meeting the 1st and 3rd Fridays of those months (see exact dates below). We'll meet from 7 to 9 pm. There will also be a private Facebook discussion list that students will be encouraged to join, to allow for continued discussion and learning between classes.

This 6 class series will give you a strong foundation in herbalism: making herbal medicines, kitchen herbalism, skin care, first aid, gardening & harvesting, and more.

Each class includes a comprehensive monograph on, and sampling of, each of the two herbs discussed, and in-depth discussion on foundational aspects of herbal healing.

Students will create a project for their final class. At the end of the course, a certificate of completion will be awarded.

fyi folks... don't know if anyone is interested, and this is very late notice, but Armstrong Nurseries regularly provides free gardening classes at their centers - and tomorrow's class is on herbs! I believe classes start at 9 a.m., and that is at any Armstrong - there are many, but I know specifically of the Torrance and the Long Beach stores... we've found them to be a decent use of time for some free info / store discounts / prizes :-)
you can see their web site for class schedules...
