Roots of Healing Long Beach Chapter gathering!

Our first Roots of Healing Meetup of 2014 is here! Join us for good conversation and excellent company as we explore the world of herbal healing. Make sure to bring a mug to enjoy medicinal tea during our time together!

This month, lets promote propagation! Bring seeds of plants you would like to grow and to share--often, a packet of seeds has more than many individuals need, and the seeds are wasted. Instead, plant some and share some.
In addition, if you have plants that propagate by division, go ahead and divide them and bring the extras to share!

I (Julie) will bring soil. You bring seeds, plants, and receptacles. particularly great seed planting containers are the clear plastic "clamshell" type that produce and baked goods often come in. They make splendid little greenhouses. Also cups, paper towel and toilet paper rolls, newspaper (I'll show you how to make quick and easy paper pots!), and you know, plant pots are good, too.

And here's the other part of the sharing: If you bring seeds or plants, please bring information or stories or songs or an interpretive dance or poem or SOMETHING about the plant to share along with it. Experience, intuition, clinical studies, messages, all are welcome.

We will build our gardens, our knowledge base and our community, all in one night. Plus get our hands dirty and play with plants. It's SO good.

We will have tea to share, if you would like to bring something along, that would be welcome, too.

Not only that I learned the basics and the mechanism behind propagating plants, I had some very scrumptious tea to go with it. 10 stars!

Hi Julie, The website for the cultural alliance lists the address as: 727 Pine Ave, not 737.

Not sure if that might cause a confusion for new people finding the place...

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
