Night at Searocket

This location is shown only to members

Join us for an educational and entertaining night of networking with fellow members of San Diego’s green community at wonderful Sea Rocket Bistro in North Park. Appetizers are included in the cover charge and wine and beer may be purchased from the bar. You can also supplement your appetite with wonderfully local and organic fare: http://searocketbistr...

Sea Rocket Bistro has an 8 foot projection screen on which we will show images or videos of various
green businesses or ventures. Photos and videos can be emailed to [masked] and Dennis has graciously offered to make a compilation DVD to play.

Here’s a little background on Sea Rocket’s interesting green efforts.

Sea Rocket:
• works with Recon Recycling on innovative recycling solutions
• is a drop off point for a community supported agriculture program for Sage Mountain Farm
• buys local foods as much as possible to lower carbon food (foot) print
• is in the process of switching towards green cleaning products

We will have an opportunity to learn all about Sea Rocket and possibly one or more of their green vendors. There will also be a chance for several businesses to address the group, should you be so inclined. Please come up to me during the event, if you are interested in standing on the soap box.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Best, Jan Schalkwijk

Excellent evening, full of very friendly folks - non of that "clicky, insider aloofness" you find at some networking meetings - everyone was open and genuinely happy to meet each other. The sharing of terrific products and ideas for conserving our resources was inspiring! I'd give this a 2 thumbs up, and a perfect first meeting as a new member. Thanks Jan for putting this together!

Thanks to Jan for a great meeting and to Dennis and staff for excellent hospitality. The group represented a wide range of interests in sustainability and environmental responsibility. I made many new acquaintances and really appreciate the opportunity to acquaint the group with my business and upcoming new homes in North Park.
