May 28: Four Truths about life – Part 2

June 4: Training in giving

June 11: Training in integrity and patience

June 18: The joy of effort

June 25: Developing our concentration and wisdom

This is the second of two series on the book Modern Buddhism:  The Path of Compassion and Wisdom by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.  Students do not need to have attended the first series in order to enjoy this series.

During this series, Gen Nyema will show how we can understand Buddha’s very first teaching, the oft-misunderstood Four Noble Truths.  The Four Noble Truths encourages everyone to follow true paths to inner freedom and peace.  During the second half of the series, Gen Nyema will explain how to practice this path, known as the Six Perfections, within the context of our hectic daily life.

Everyone is welcome to attend, no previous experience required.  Drop in for any class.

Class Format

Everyone is welcome to attend this course at Greenville Yoga.  You do not need to be a member of the yoga studio and no previous experience with Buddhism or meditation is required.  Each class will include guided meditation, a short teaching, and time for group discussion.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
