Tuesday's Schedule:
6:30 PM - Doors open for social dancing
6:50 PM - 8:00 PM - Beginner lesson
6:50 PM - 8:00 PM - Beginner+ lesson
6:50 PM - 8:00 PM - Continuation lesson with Jason
8:00 PM - 10:30 PM - Social dancing and practice
Costs:
$5.00 cover charge for social dancing (either Beginner lesson included).
$10.00 cover charge for Continuation lesson (social dancing included).
Private lessons with instructors are available.
Tip the DJ and bar employees - we love our support staff!
Please note: If you arrive more than fifteen minutes after the start of the lessons, you will not be allowed to participate in a lesson that evening. Joining late disrupts the instructor and forces everyone to help you catch up instead of focusing on the lesson they paid to receive.
Be considerate of your fellow dancers as we all try to stay healthy. If you are feeling sick or have been exposed to Covid-19, please wait a few weeks before joining us. Masks are recommended, but not required.
You are welcome to dance with a single partner or to limit dances with other people. Don't be afraid to say "no thank you," and be respectful of others who say it to you. We want you to feel comfortable and have fun!
Greenville Westies is the Greenville area West Coast Swing dance community. West Coast Swing is popular across all age groups and one of the big reasons is because of the music. What kind of music do you like? Top 40? We dance to that. Rock? Bring it on. Hip Hop? We dance to that, too. Blues? That’s part of our roots. West Coast Swing gives us the opportunity to dance to and enjoy great music, regardless of where it comes from.
Within Greenville Westies you’ll find brand new and experienced dancers, young people and seniors, and everyone in between. We truly welcome everyone! Please don’t let lack of experience – West Coast Swing or otherwise – hold you back. Bring your curiosity and enthusiasm and we’ll help you with the rest.
