Let's Get Together and Play Music at our NEW TIME AND NEW LOCATION

Remember, this is at our NEW TIME and LOCATION. Parking on Greenwich Ave can be DIFFICULT. There are municipal parking lots behind CVS.

Last month we experimented with the number of members that could fit into the office. Due to limited space, we want to keep it at 14 people.

Please bring 14 copies of songs you want to lead, so everyone has a copy.

We want to change the structure and focus slightly, while there is a rich tradition of incredible Pre-1980's acoustic and folk/rock music, there are also great songwriters who have been writing songs more recently.  So to honor both past and present, we thought it would be fun to begin to ask people to bring one "PRE-1980's" song and one "POST-1980's" song. Its a great way to sing songs we know and love but also to learn some newer songs that are a bit more recent (if we define "Post-1980's" as being more recent).

Also, any Halloween-related songs (Our first song will be  "Season of the Witch" which Laura will lead) and/or instruments adorned with Halloween decorations are welcome.

Good music, laughs, conversations, and food --all of which, in my simple mind, add up to an absolutely enjoyable evening. Hats off to Geoff and everyone else-great choice of songs!

Hi. I am coming tonight, for the first time in quite a while. What is the usual routine now? Do I bring money, cookies? I can bring a song and copies but I honestly don't think I know a song post 1980.

I have come down with a bad cold so I will not be joining you all AGAIN! I am so disappointed but I am sure you don't want me there spreading what I've got!
    Have fun

What is the best website to go onto to print out tab sheet music? I always come empty handed, this time I want to come prepared with a few songs I have selected for the evenings festivities.

When using Chordie, you will see some song versions listed with a blue tag with the word "chords" , and others using a green tag with the word "tabs" . You want the blue tag. Also, try and avoid anything that says "text one" , this is someones written assessment.

I second what Andy said; however, it's a good idea to check the chords no matter which site you use. There are often mistakes.

So would "in the 80's" be considered pre or post ? :):):) I've got a classic MTV-era Tom Petty video in mind that will be a great leap forward for me - - - maybe all the way to 1985 !!!

"Yer So Bad" - yeah ! (My sister got lucky, married a yuppie :)

Given the proximity to Halloween, I'll bring "Witchy Woman."

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
