I make NO excuses for the title of this group.  Meetup.com itsself was created AT GROUND ZERO in NYC and BECAUSE of GROUND ZERO.  If you have questions about the heart of the group, go to MEETUP.COM and see why indeed, they STARTED MEETUP.COM.  It is now a worldwide meetup phenomenon because of the World Trade Center disaster on 9-11.  Sometimes blessings come from tears.  Sometimes hope springs out of disasters..  We ALL need to reconnect with our fellow man.  Love God first, but second only to that is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

So let's get out of the house.  That date you've been texting on that dating website is not going to magically appear at your door.  And do you WANT to be stuck with someone you have never met for a whole evening if the chemistry is just not right???  And how do you know the "description" they give of themselves and their picture is really them?

One way to find out is to go to "meetups" (meetings where people meet one another to mingle and discuss common goals and experiences and MEET ONE ANOTHER!  In the FLESH!  Face to Face!!!  In mutually pleasing atmospheres like a nice tavern (no bars) or an upscale restaurant or a kind neighbor's home?

That's what Ground Zero Singles Over 40 is all about.  Meeting like minded upscale businessmen and women with kind hearts and down-home ways.  We have had a lot of success because the heart of our group is strong and good.  We are not in it for the money.  We no longer collect dues because we feel it takes away from the heart of the group and we delight in our members and do not care about the maintenance fees we pay to keep the groups.

We do it because we get great joy in seeing people of good faith and character find common bonds and we hope you do not leave us after you find each other.  We want to create lasting friendships and we have been very successful at that!
