Candlelight House Tour

The 2012 Candlelight House Tour will include many historic residences and public properties throughout the City of Harrisburg. In its 39th year, the Candlelight House Tour is a beautiful annual tour of the best-of-the-best properties in Harrisburg, all decorated for the holiday and winter seasons. This year's tour will feature properties in the Italian Lake and Academy Manor neighborhoods. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the tour.

We will meet at the Zembo Shrine, then visit the various sites on the tour. Note that we will meet at 2:00, even though the event starts earlier. This is a self-paced tour, so we can go at our own pace.

Excellent, despite the weather. I'm glad we braved the elements, because we saw some beautiful homes and good interior decorating. And it was a good social outing.

I won't be able to make this one. I hope everyone has a good time.

I think it sounds boring- basically just some typical expensive houses with Christmas decorations.

We can walk together as a group. And there will be plenty of other walking around also. It's a popular tour. You can buy tickets online or at any of the sites listed on the Historic Harrisburg website. http://www.historicharrisburg.com/upcoming-events/candlelight-house-tour

This looks like fun--I hope to be able to go. Do we have walking partners to the homes? How do I pay in advance?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
