GPUG 3.02: How I stopped worrying and started loving the API

APIs are hard, but they don't have to be. API-first design can lower your workload, increase your productivity, and decrease your blood pressure. In his presentation, Marco shows how he used a service-based architecture in his latest project to avoid losing his sanity and serving millions of requests per day with a few hundred dollar's worth of hardware.

Note that the venue this month will be the offices of the awesome TribeHR in Kitchener.

I enjoyed the meetup and the conversation afterward. It is always great when Marco comes to town.

A side note I forgot to mention last night, Chris Carr (a long time GPUG member) is in a developer contest so let's give him and his team some support:

    Greetings email list

Recently my team won a developer contest. Now there is a vote for a second prize. Currently we are in second place with one day left. If you could check out this page and give our team a vote that would be awesome.

Marco Tabini gave a good presentation talking about the design decisions that went into building a recent REST API project. He also entertained a lengthy and varied Q&A session, which allowed all of us to get an even deeper insight into various aspects of the API project discussed.
    Thanks Marco!
