Guitar Ottawa Acoustic Lovers (GOAL) is designed for individuals who share an interest in playing guitar. This includes any style of acoustic instrument (guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica, ukelele, bass, etc...) and a basic fundamental knowledge of chords (A, C, D, E, G, etc ). Our objective is to create an environment where people can jam in a relaxed way. Participants have varied skill levels and we typically play a mix of music that allows less skilled people to play along.

Playing along with others is a great way to have fun and learn new skills and song. Most important is your willingness to share your playing knowledge, experience, thoughts, opinions, your likes and dislikes, your questions and your tips.

On occasion there may be opportunities to play at events like sing-alongs or other events.

Guitar jams are conducted, on average, once or twice a month, with emphasis on sharing pieces you've composed, sharing music pieces you like and sharing your music passion with others.

This group operates through meetup and so we need to cover the fees for this. Participants at each jam may drop contributions of $1 or no more than $2 into a donation can. The objective is to just cover the costs of these fees.
