Robb and Nyla are God and Goddess of the Party World. Thank you so much guys. We all had so much fun on land, on water, and and especially jumping between land and water :) So great to see how well the boating group was represented, and great to meet others as well.

Well I did drive by after my gig at the Gaylord but I did not partake mainly because I was waaaay over dressed in a black business suit and my colleague, she was also in a business outfit so we felt a bit over dressed. It was past midnight and the party did look alot fun !

    September 22, 2013

    • Jan

Clothes were NOT required!!! You could have left your suits in the car.

I will leave a comment on the discussion section as well... but was wondering if I could start a regular event for those of us who work on weekends for a weekday boating outing? Just wanted to see if anyone was interested in weekday outings?

The boat ramp runs right through the middle of the party...can't miss it.

      September 16, 2013

    • Robb E.

Vivek...I just noticed that the Yahoo maps satellite image is quite dated ( taken when the ramp was still grass ). Viewing the Google maps image shows the concrete boat ramp running East through the yard from the West side of the lake. Again, You can't miss it, but it's nice to know what to expect.

Would a kayak work at this event?

    September 16, 2013

    • Robb E.

Kayaks are welcome and there will likely be a few neighbors who show up by kayak...the lake is small ( You could paddle around the edge in ~30min ) and during the day it is likely to be quite active with water sports ( wakeboarding, hang gliding, tubing )...if You feel confident with lots of rolling waves, bring it...if You have a light, might be a spectacular platform from which to watch the fireworks.

    September 16, 2013

  • Vivek S.

    Where are restrooms ?

    September 15, 2013

    • Robb E.

Restrooms are in a rented air-conditioned trailer provided by AAA Chemical Toilet Rentals Inc in Kissimmee ( http://www.aaachemica... )

If I decide to bring by boat how early could one go before the crowd to enjoy the lake, and where would be the best place to park the truck and trailer. 24ft plus trailer.

    September 12, 2013

    • Robb E.

The lake is small and there will be party traffic on it starting around noon. Before noon is the only time You would be able to get a glassy ski run. Alternatively, most captains at the party use their boats as a private VIP room. With 500 folks crowded into our small yard, having a boat offers the best seats for viewing the bands, fireworks, and hang gliding. There is plenty of parking for trailers if You arrive before 4pm. We DO sometimes shut down the ramp out of safety concerns, which may be of concern if You plan on leaving before midnight and cannot leave the boat overnight. http://mikesbigdeck.c...

    • Jan

Can you swim? Yes but parking might be a problem.

      1 · July 23, 2013

    • Robb E.

Ha!...while Google's marker is somewhat misplaced, MBD is firmly aground...the best parts of the party however, often happen in the privacy away from shore.

      July 23, 2013

  • Jan

Will bring my 17' Whaler! What happens on the boat stays on the boat, or in the water, or over the side until the sun comes up...then you are on your own.

    1 · July 23, 2013

  • Robb E.

Seven live bands, private fireworks show, food and fun for all. If this is your first Big Deck experience, it is a party with >500 attendees. While it is technically a house party, the house is inaccessible, so bring a towel, tent, and/or chairs to set up in the yard. There's a boat ramp on site for anyone bringing a boat. While kids are welcome, a G-rating is not guaranteed after sunset. Feel free to give me a call if You have any questions...407.484.6421
