  • This location is shown only to members

A couple of mates are attending this course. If you would like to join them here is the info: http://wow.uscgaux.info/pe_class_flyer.php?unit=070&course=7359

You need this course in order to be promoted to COMMANDER.

There is a course fee of $35 which covers all the course material including the handbook which I still have from when I took the course when I was 12.

I have taken it online but I never paid for them to mail the certificate. If I take it again it is available at the Daytona yacht club.

If you take the Coast Guard course you get a Florida Boating Certificate as well as the CG certificate. The CG course is proctored therefore it is valid in ALL 50 STATES, and really helps you out if you are boarded. Plus you do learn more. It is the same price either way. PS a boating certificate is different than a license...a certificate is non-revokeable! If you pass the course and get a certificate you will get a deduction on your boat insurance.

I think the course when I took it was $12. Plus it was 7 weeks! It has now been condensed into an 8hr ABC course.

I have also taught this course, specifically: Marine Radio and Marlinspike and I audited it with my daughter when she took it four years ago.
