18th Annual Leesburg Bikefest + Our 1st Cabin Campout

  • Apr 24, 2014 · 3:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Camping? Cabins? YES! Camping out, let's make that camping in, in some of the greatest state park cabins in the state! No! Wait.... make that in the STATES!!!  Follow this link  and see for yourself!  CHECK OUT THESE ACCOMODATIONS

And for a more personal view just ask Roger and Chris, Bruce and Penny, Ellis and Diane, or Stu and Linda ... they've all enjoyed these NOT SO RUSTIC CABINS! (Come on now!? Electric switched gas fireplace!!! Microwaves !!! ... not a camp site, 'eh?!)

So besides the available rides through the park, a little hiking, boating on the lake, and the late night campfires at the picnic tables, grilling out and (a-hemmmm...) a few cold drinks,,, we'd be within a quick ride to The 18th Annual Leesburg Bikefest 2014.

This free event held in Historic Downtown Leesburg will be packed with entertainment boasting eight stages, forty bands, and a slew of exhibitions featuring Wall of death, Rat’s Hole Custom Motorcycles Show, Trails Rider and Drill Team Demonstration. Local restaurants and over 250 vendors will offer up a myriad of food, beer and beverage choices, while hundreds of friendly retail hops and vendors will be open for your shopping pleasures. Come experience this event for yourself and see why bikers across the country are making The Leesburg Bikefest an annual destination. More detailed info at the following link> LEESBURG BIKEFEST

NOTE the CABINS are $120.oo per night but with 2 bedrooms and a hide-a-bed sofa a group of 3 couples could split the 2 nights for just $80 per couple! That's $40 a night! BEAT THAT!!!!

Cabins can be reserved now! (Follow links where you CHECK OUT THESE ACCOMODATIONS). Ya checkin' my spellin'? I suggest you find your BUDDY UP couples and get your reservations in early. Cabins will go fast. Some of us have reserved 2 cabins already. No#1 and No#2

UPDATE: A few of the GIRLS have decided we could do more if we went up THURSDAY April 24th. So I've had to re-reserve my cabins (#No.s 1 & 2). And

So Now We Just Need To Find Out Who Has Room In Their Cabins. I doubt there are any available Master Bedrooms, not sure about the 2nd bedrooms with the TWIN beds. But there might be a couple hide-a-beds that are open. (Plus I have a couple nice air mattress' that with a sleeping bag on the screened in porch would be great after the camp fire parties!). Don't hesitate to ask around! Those of us WITH cabin reservations need to get together need to see what room we have available to offer. Keep a good thought!

    1 · March 5, 2014

  • Smitty R.

Today (3/5/14) no more cabins available... :(

    March 5, 2014

  • Mike

    1 · February 3, 2014

    • Stu & Linda S.

Ride up beside Mike, right? Safety in numbers! As in NOT alone! ;-)

      February 5, 2014

    • Lora N

Yes...riding up with Mike on Friday.

      February 17, 2014

  • Bruce & Penny B.

Anyone interested in making this a 4 day trip? Leave on Thursday instead of Friday? That way we'd have 2 full days to play besides the day up and day back? That's if we can get the cabins the extra night. Let us know your thoughts. Penny

    1 · January 30, 2014

  • Mike

Just reserved a cabin on jan 10, 2014 still 7 more cabins left

    January 11, 2014

    • Roger

We're all going up on Thursday now, Mike.

      February 3, 2014

  • Stu & Linda S.

As of Nov 18th, 2013 there were still another 12 cabins available. Our cabins don't have to be side-by-side. They're all within walking distance. FYI - 1) its about a 4 hour ride up and checkin is around 3pm. 2) its only about a 40 minute ride into Leesburg 3) We'll do some senic route riding as well once in the area. Get crackin' on those reservations!
