Many of you had expressed an interest in going rollerskating at All American Skating Center so I am (finally) making it an official meet up. Whether you are a roller skating enthusiast or if you have always wanted to learn, join us! And, feel free to bring non-meetup friends and show them why our meetup is so much fun!
We are going on Family Night. It's a little less crowded and less "expert" than Saturday and, hopefully, not as intimidating for first timers. The center also has lessons. If a sizable group signs up, I will try to arrange a lesson in advance. From my understanding, we can also arrange on the spot - but might have a wait. Otherwise, those who have skated before can give a crash course to the newbies. I haven't skated since junior high, but from what I remember, it was VERY easy to get started.
In addition to skating, they have concessions that includes pizza, hot dogs, soft pretzels, nachos and the like. So be prepared to grab a bite to eat with new friends. And, if you get tired of skating, they have a pretty fun arcade room.
Admission = $7
Skate rental = $3 (make sure to bring socks)
Two quick notes:
1. Some of you have signed up for this event before we had a date. So please make sure you check your RSVP and update it accordingly.
2. We will need to have at least 7 people sign up for this event to be a "go." If more than 20 people show up, we can get a group rate, which takes off $2 of each person's admission.
This is where we typically start our stringent language about our three strikes you are out no-show policy. However, this time I want to start by thanking all of you! We have had a great show rate the last couple of events - let's keep it up!
The better show rate we have, the more likely it is that the vendor or restaurant will work with us on a deal in the future and the more fun we have.
