Canker Worms ~ Protect Your Trees

Protect Your Trees from Canker Worms

Trees are valuable assets we need to protect.

Across the Charlotte area, it’s time for the annual cankerworm pre-battle solutions.

In past years, the worms have had a devastating impact on some trees, chewing away the foliage and causing a nuisance with their droppings.

Usually, we see them in April, normally around Easter.  However, now is the time to prevent the female worms from laying eggs on the trees.

Patrick George, expert from Heartwood Tree Service will join us for the November 5th HAWK meeting to tell us the best way to care for our trees and how to protect them.
