Almost April showers, bring may flowers, and Hsicks(6) hikers. 3 1/2 hours of hiking, A couple inches of rain, cloths saturation 100%, shoe saturation 115%, body temperature 85 degrees, Hope's Snickers bar magical. I'm singing in the rain
    Just singing in the rain
    What a glorious feelin'
    I'm happy again
    I'm laughing at clouds
    So dark up above
    The sun's in my heart

Thanks Paul, It was another great extreme hike, and the H sick-o's rose to the occasion, once again.

I have to say...this hiking group is bad-ass! This turned out to be a full-on rain hike...which I love doing. But it was definitely on the extreme side as the temps were a bit colder than expected. But everyone was prepared and geared up appropriately so we made it through safely, although I did opt to take some short cuts around the reservoir to cut our overall hiking time down to 3.25 hours to minimize our exposure. We really kept it moving throughout the hike with minimal stops/breaks which really helped too.

Hike Stats: We completed approx 10 Miles at an Avg Moving Speed of 3.2 MPH. We hit an Elevation Gain of approx +3,000 Feet. Personally, I feel like I'm starting to get back up to speed again after our harsh winter put a bit of a crimp in my hiking mojo. ;)

Despite moving at such a brisk pace we still managed to get in some nice off trails bush-wackiness here and there which really didn't slow us down too much except to avoid brier patches in some spots.

    An H6ick for sure! ;)

It's also worth noting that due to the significant run-off from the prolonged rain event this weekend... we had quite a few ex-stream crossings to get over which is not usually the case at Green Lane. But I don't think Ed even noticed them. :)

Great hike today even with all the rain. The only thing missing was some stream crossings. Too bad we didn't run into any ;)

Hi All, Hike is a GO. Steve B and I hiked in the rain all day yesterday scouting out The Perkiomen Trails to The Ales Hikes. It's kind of nice hiking in the rain if it's warm enough. Hope to see you all there. Whaaahooo! ;)
