OK, looking at the Doppler and hourly forecasts for where we would be riding, I think 1:00 will work. I have revised the route to keep us out of the North (where it will be wet) today. The easter and norther you go the more wetter you get. West looks dry and temperate.
Here is the new route: http://goo.gl/maps/DJt3b
The diciest part will be getting over to the NW side of town in San Antonio. It will likely be wet until after you pass I10 on 1604. I drove out to the Valley Mart this morning and the streets were drying out.
Rain... Crap. Putting off the start time till 1:00. Lets see if it clears.
Enchanted Rock had only 40 or so sites and apparently they have been long sold out for the time I picked. On to Garner as the overnight, where there are plenty.
I have to buy the sites on line with an account and they will cost a minimum of $22 for two. Each site will hold two tents. All have access to water, bathroom and showers. I will buy one for everyone signed up tomorrow morning (Friday, March 7th) at 10:00 a.m. If you are still on here as going, you owe me. Just remember what I do for my daytime job if you think you will skip on the $.
The ride will be long on Saturday, starting at 9:00 a.m. and 1/2 day on Sunday ending before lunch. We will eat out for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday.
Bring a snack to share with 12 people for our cracker barrel on Saturday night. Or, just buy it at one of the many stores we will stop at on Saturday.
What if you had to carry everything you were camping with on your bike for an overnight except food? What if we rode around the hill country for a good part of the day Saturday, had a good lunch and dinner at restaurants and camped out at Enchanted Rock until Sunday morning? Then, we stop off for breakfast somewhere on the way back. Could you strap it all on your bike and make it stay on for two fun hill country rides? I am willing to try.

Sunday Route: Coming (getting back before lunch) Oh... and no cages!
