Checking for Interest in an Evening Staffordville Lake event with multi groups.

Hi Everyone,

If this kind of event is NOT of interest to you, You do not have to RSVP at all or leave any comment since to me at least-- an absent response is sufficient.

If this event is of interest to you -- Please RSVP that you have an interest.

Remember, you can go even without a kayak and just socialize with those that are on the beach...just stay away from the person that's eating the free hut dogs like its a Eating Contest.. in 30 minutes you will see what all the talk about Pink Slime is as the person is making like a Human Play Dough Machine...well that's for you to see, im making sure im visually 30 feet away and out of hearing distance.

Tom D from the Mass. Paddling Group sent me the info of an event that may be something to do for us.

I tend to not prefer Moonlight or Evening paddle events since you can not see all the nice sights nearby and its usually a short paddle event...But:

However, at times its kind of interesting and Lyons seem to be a good organization hosting it too , its also among possible new people that may choose to be an asset to this paddling group, if not any new members, its a chance to socialize with fellow paddlers in a setting where you can freely move about and i do not have to keep track of anyone getting lost or finding my equipment to load in the dark.

My calming reason for this listing: Its the Lyons Hosting it and i do not have to keep track of you at all.. 8-)~

I may bring the full trailer load since there will most likely be an event Saturday Morning, but i do not plan to unload all of them and re-load them for a 2 hour or so event.. so bring your own kayak is my most likely suggestion for some of you.

Ok, onto the details:

As best as i can see the exact address is:

Fun event. Met new people, looked at different kayaks. Really nice evening with our small group of friends paddling in the moonlight. Many boats had lights and were really decked out. We enjoyed blazing camp fires, music and fireworks from the shore dwellers. Very nice lake to paddle and this was a very well organized event for a great cause. Thank you Al for hooking us up. I will do it again.

[masked] kayakers attended. A great fund raiser for the Stafford Springs Lions Club. One lucky winner went home with a new kayak. Paddle time was about an hour on the resevoir with camp fires along the coast. A relaxed fun time. A great way to check out all the different kinds of kayaks and talk to people about great new kayaking spots.
