I love to kayak salt marshes...but not the ocean. Do not own one and would like to join those who do. Mary Lou
Hi Mary Lou,
The kayaking isn't happening til tomorrow, but I'd be happy to let you know how it works out and where people ended up renting (I posted two places on the event blurb that rent kayaks). I've been writing a lot this summer, but nowhere near as much as I should be! :) Glad to hear yours is going well.
Why do you need my home address?
Thanks! :) I will be at the next meeting.
Hi Mary Lou, thanks for joining the group. Sounds like you've done some interesting and varied work in your career. Once we build up a few more members I'd like to host the first documentary screening. Please pass the word along to anyone you may know that might be interested.
Here are some examples of documentaries I'd like to screen:
Super Size Me
The End of Suburbia
Blue Gold: Water Wars
I would love to read YA. Matt's piece is YA too. :)
Ciao M. I like what you're coming up with. For me it paints a portrait of the times quite well. I can relate to what I see in your words. I do feel that the style is perfect for a crowd of people who are already beyond college. I think that if your target readers we ordinarily a younger audience then your challenge (and it's an exciting one) could be to write it in such a magnetic way that you inspire the more intellectual reader to recommend it to the younger readers as a must read book. We've met, Mary Lou, at several conferences. Hope to see you at a meeting soon -- we have member critiques before every meeting.
The photos you took are good.
Ciao M. Good work the other day, keep it up. Sorry I had to leave so soon. World up, Enzo
