Is travel your passion? Does the cost hinder you?  As a member of Hostelling International, travel is possible, even on a budget! Hostels are a great way to travel around the world, meet people from other countries and learn about cultures. Hear guest speakers inform you of their travels and adventures from around the world. Discuss locations, how to use hostels, how to travel lightly and consciously, learn tips on how to budget, and, perhaps, find traveling partners.

The North Texas Council is a local affiliate of Hostelling International USA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization founded in 1934 to promote international understanding of the world and its people through hostelling. HI-USA operates a network of quality hostel accommodations throughout the United States that are inexpensive, safe and clean. Our hostels range from urban high-rise buildings with hundreds of beds to small more remote hostels in rural settings.

There are three councils in Texas: North Texas, Bluebonnet, and Southwest. North Texas Council has a member base within an area that includes the Panhandle, up along the Red River to the Eastern border and as far south as Hillsboro, TX.
