Bringing the best and the brightest together to move the needle on some of our most important problems today, this Code-a-thon will let you make lasting connections, flex your creative muscles and make a product you can be proud of AND famous for creating.
Here's our recipe for making HTF's Code-a-thon a life-changing weekend:
Ingredients - coders, patients, clinical providers, artists and designers. In other words, people with a passion for what they do.
Mix together - pre-event-planning and stage-setting by San Francisco Department of Public Health, San Francisco Mayor's Office of Innovation, and representative from the San Mateo Medical Center.
Whip up - production by the wide-ranging and deep connections that the Health Technology Forum's executive, staff, and members offer.
Throw in - inspiring and insider information for participants to get you up and running fast on health tech's pitfalls and potential. On-site experts available for curbside advice during the event.
Serve up - venture capital-style presentations to a panel of judges spanning the range from IDEO, tech experts, bus developers, venture capital, patient advocates and hands-on providers.
The cherry? Sponsorship by the California Healthcare Foundation (CHCF.org), cash prizes (1st Prize- $5K, 2nd Prize- $1K, 3rd Prize- $500) and on-going relationships and commitment to grow your product.
Schedule - no we'll not let you sleep at the venue but you'll have access on Saturday (8AM-5PM) and Sunday (9AM-6PM). Snacks, coffee/tea, and lunch will be provided. A reception is scheduled after the judging on Sunday.
Winners will be presented at the Health Technology Forum's Innovation Conference on Friday, April 19 at UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco. NPR's Tech Nation will be moderating a panel at the conference which will be aired worldwide.
