It's a public holiday! Hong Kong coffee lovers group is getting healthy! We'll start 09:30am in Causeway Bay, take a 2-hour hike and get off in Stanley for coffee & lunch...
WILSON TRAIL STAGE 1
Starting at Parkview, the trail through Violet Hill, Dagangshan, Tai Tam Country Park and the Quarry Bay Extension. The first stage sets off in Stanley. The 4.8 km walk will take about 2 hours, suitable for beginners. The path is small and beautiful, with incredible and dreamy seascapes keeping you accompanied all the way, and abandoned war forts reminding you of the bitter past. It is a relatively more relaxed journey though you may need to climb up the Dagangshan ladder. There will be a 10-mins exciting path when we leave by Stanley Gap trails and take a short cut to Stanley. There is no pedestrian access, double-decker buses and minibuses passing the sidelines.
COFFEE @ CUPPING ROOM
When we arrive at Stanley, we'll get some REAL COFFEE at the CUPPING ROOM. The Cupping Room located at Stanley Plaza is founded by 2011 Hong Kong Barista Championship 1st Runner Up, Derek Chiu. This hard working barista will be working 10-7pm on Labour Day. If we arrive early before their peak hour, we can grab him and share some coffee knowledge & experience.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
If you feels like grabbing a cold beer afterwards, we can walk over to Stanley Main Street and get into a sidewalk bar over there. Or dismiss the group.
MEETING POINT (DON'T BE LATE!)
We'll meet 09:30am at Causeway Bay MTR outside exit F (ground level). Then take taxi to the Wilson Trail starting point on Stanley Gap Road.
