Political Elections in the Social Age

Join us Friday, Nov.2, just days before one of the most watched elections in the world (even if you're not American), for a discussion about the role that Social Media is now playing in the way we follow and engage with political campaigns & debates.

Our special guest will be Asha Phillips, Regional Bureau Chief for Storyful, a social media news wire service, who has been following political stories worldwide closely in regards to how they play out through social media.

She and our resident HKSocialistas will help connect the discussion to lesson that can apply to how brands and NGOs manage campaigns, as well as lessons in social media and leadership.

Here's a primer video from the Social Currents hangout with Asha last week - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4oPV0yl7Tk

And Jay Oatway will have his wrap up of all the latest news this month in social media.

Hope to see you on Friday morning, 8:30am at Pure!

Interesting. I'm still a bit old school, I like getting my news from WSJ or NY Times. Twitter is not enough information and my friends on FB tend to push an agenda. Traditional media is still where the best information is, although I use the web and apps to read them.

Customers are key. Would like to know more about how they are identified and then measured ... and what they buy online from Asia.
