HOBN Yaletown #1

Join our professional, motivated and "giving" Yaletown group upstairs in the beautiful and eclecticly-filled Harrison Gallery/The Buzz Cafe. Grab some of Vancouver's most highly-rated coffees and breakfast items ($7.50 minimum purchase for food/drink) in the cafe, then head upstairs to the back of the room where our meeting will take place.

Here is our new meeting format (as of January 2014): 

7:00 – 7:30  Buy breakfast, mix & mingle, get settled

7:30 – 8:00   Roundtable introductions ("The Powerful
  Minute”, with soft timing)


8:00 – 8:30  Rotation through these 3 different formats:

Week 1:
Educational Presentation (20-30 min) by an HOBN member

• 15 min presentation & 15 min for Q&A, feedback, discussion

Week 2: (format for Aug 7, 2014)
Member Spotlight (10-15 min)

• 5-7 min presentation &  5-10  min for Q&A, feedback, discussion

Brainstorming with the whole group (15 min)

• 7 min focused attention and support per person (2 persons max)

• Can be around any challenge, issue, question that the “focus person” has

• If you want a spot let us know

Week 3:
Brainstorming in one big or two small groups (30 min)

• 7 min focused attention and support per person (max 4 persons per group)

• Can be around any challenge, issue, question that the "focus person" has

• If you want a spot let us know

8:30 – 8:40  Chapter Leaders, general HOBN announcements or other event announcements by members

8:40 – 9:00  Open networking

We are excited to try out this new meeting format and welcome your comments as we apply it.
