To see what others were discussing as cutting edge topics, perhaps to share what I am currently learning.
Issues on the cutting edge of vegan nutrition AND vegan values, though perhaps not veganism (as such), such as the impact of synthetic meat and meat analogs, public health issues around diet and substance abuse (I have speakers for that), and cross-cultural comparisons of various immigrant and 'student' (academic) populations re: health status and health-related behaviors.
No, but there are events in Longwood Medical Area which COULD be opened to some members of a group. I think of the public health simulcasts which are open to the general public.
Vegan most of my natural life.
More of this, but how about some of the GREAT vegan speakers, like Dr. Michael Greger (MGreger@HSUS.org), Dr. Neal Barnard (www.PCRM.org), Dr. Joel Fuhrman (who appears on those PBS specials used as fundraisers), Dr. Michael Klaper (California/Hawaii), and Dr. John McDougall (northern California, former U Hawaii Medical School professor). Local brainiacs might enjoy Nik Shukla (North Shore of Boston).
