Tree of Life Art Workshop

  • December 7, 2013 · 2:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This 2-hour workshop will cover self-exploration and art, meditation and movement! Working with your past, present and future through narratives.

Materials provided.

Tickets are $30 per person (just to cover cost of materials, room and arvo tea provided after workshop!).

Why this is of benefit to HSPs:

Understanding yourself better is a universal positive. For HSPs, self-awareness and mindful practice equates to calm, and the added understanding of our history helps us see our life in perspective. Having a clear picture (literally) of our life so far allows us to consider a more beautiful future. In addition, for HSPs, making genuine connections is often a challenge. With this session, we are creating a safe space where we are allowing and welcoming vulnerability to be held in a safe environment. You can be you - WHO YOU ARE - and it is supported! The creative aspect often feeds HSP's souls and the ability to express ourselves a wonderful and memorable experience.

What will happen - exactly:

You RSVP Yes. You may pay now via PayPal (with a credit card or PayPal account) or on the day in cash. Two days before the event, I will email you a welcome video including text with details of the location, car-parking info, public transport guides, etc. On the day, arrive 15mins early. We start at 2pm. Wear something comfortable, but not something you're too precious about (in case you splatter yourself with paint). The location is quiet, private, comfortable, has a kitchen, bathroom, with nice lighting. From 2pm-4pm the workshop runs. If during the workshop, you need time alone, there are many rooms available for you to spend in quiet/ darkness. You may also leave the building and sit outside. From 4pm onwards- if you like, you can stay and enjoy afternoon tea (which I will provide). If you have any dietary requirements, please let me know. Then we all peel off home and feel good we shared a special day. :)

Even More Specifics of event:

Combining art and narrative therapy, this workshop gives you avenues to encourage exploration of your background/ history (the good AND the "bad"), your past, present and future. You can share your stories, and feel safe in this healing space we will create as a group.

Using guided meditation to bring you into body awareness, connect with your heart space and re-connect your energies, you will become aware of what matters most to you.

Movement (from dance-therapy) enable you to gauge your emotional growth throughout the workshop.

Art will allow you to express your life in a deeper, more in-tune fashion. Your art will not be judged. This is about your journey and the process of working on your own life tree.

On completing your cosmic tree, and reflecting on existential questions about your life and worldview, you will gain a greater sense of understanding and compassion for yourself and others.

And in case you're wondering, yes as it happens I am a practicing postgrad-qualified psychotherapist, so it's all based in good ol' theory.... and it works.

Blessings xx

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
