In this session we will be going over both the opportunity to make money on the Windows 8 platform, and a great overview on how to build a windows 8 app. We will talk about both C# XAML and HTML5.
Daniel Egan, I am originally from Chicago but moved to California in the early 90′s right when the Bulls were scorching the NBA. I worked in a few different industries before finding my niche in the technology sector. From the Payroll Manager at Red Robin Restaurants, to an accountant for a law office, I bounced around quite a bit. (Yes, I waited tables and bartended in there somewhere too) .
Before joining Microsoft, I held a variety of positions in the information technology and engineering fields. At my company, Odyssey Consulting Group, I served as Chief Architect and CEO. We did custom application development for Mid-Range companies in Southern California.
I was fortunate enough to be a Microsoft Regional Director (a very elite group of developers and business owners), a Microsoft MVP – ASP/ASP.Net , a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and an Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, as well as a .Net Insider for the Southern California Region.
I have always been active in the developer community and was the Co-Founder of the SoCalDotNet Developers Group. I had the unique opportunity to serve as President of INETA, the international .Net association and enjoyed my time there immensely.
Adam Tuliper works as a Technical Evangelist for Microsoft. Prior to that he worked as a software architect in defense, finance, pharma, manufacturing, technology, and public sector fields over a span of 18+ years. He started his work in security and reverse engineering (x86 based - pre .NET) with the direction of going into the software protection and anti-piracy field. This gave him a foundation for learning the internals of other technologies from Win32 systems to CLR systems. Adam has performed security audits and penetration tests for large corporations and small companies alike. He has been deeply involved in .NET internals since early beta and currently works extensively in Windows 8, HTML/JS, Azure, WCF, ASP.Net, SQL Server, MVC, and various open source technologies. He presents nationwide at conferences and user groups and is a pluralsight.com author and an MSDN Magazine author.
