Hi all, I've decided to give a free class on Ruby on Rails after seeing some of you expressed interest in it. While I'm no expert I live and breath rails daily and I absolutely love it so I'd love to share that with you and get some of you into this amazing framework. To know more or sign up, please visit:

Those snacks were awesome and a lot of good vibe.
Spending more time learning more profound things about HTML5 would have been better. It was very low level to be honest.

I didn't completely agree with everything said in the presentation (HTML5 replacing all technologies... we have a long way to go to get there and I think there will always be use cases for certain tech) but that aside was very well done, very professional and I learned a few new things. The Q&A also was really quite great, especially some of the more challenging questions that got feedback from a few people.

Liked it, might be nice to have some meetings for hacking and some general topics like this one was.

I liked the format this time, of presenter followed by Q&A. The information was practical, useful and crosscut a lot of different experiences. The initial introductions took a lot of time and at one point I wondered if the length of the intros might be comparable to that of the actual presentation itself! Audience info is important to the speaker and can be acquired ahead of time and summarized.

Hi all, thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions! We have a new place tentatively booked. It's called The Office Pub and it is on John Street just north of Adelaide.

It's about 5 minutes from either Osgoode or St. Andrew stations on the University line, and there is a parking garage just across the street on the southwest corner of John and Richmond.

They also have a larger capacity, so I've increased the RSVP count. As always, please respond "No" if you won't be able to make it.

The ground floor of CSI Annex might be a possibility! We have membership there so I'll check to see if we can book it.

Any chance for a venue to fit ~135 people?
Maybe at a library / university?

Robin -- Yes, I'm currently working on a new venue.

So just passed Liberty Noodle yesterday and they seem to be bankrupt and closed. Is there an Alternate Location in the works?
